The sixth season of the MTV reality series Jersey Shore will be its last, MTV on Thursday. Production on the final season of the crazy reality show recently wrapped and will premiere in October. Jersey Shore is executive produced by SallyAnn Salsano (whose first success at MTV was “A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila”) from 495 Productions. Jacquelyn French is executive producer for MTV. Janay Dutton is Executive In Charge of Production for MTV.  Jersey Shore is the highest rated series ever in MTV’s history and has been the top cable series among viewers aged from 12 thru 34 for all five of its previous seasons. The series also has been a huge hit internationally, particularly in Australia, Denmark, Singapore, Spain, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Poland, Ireland, Belgium and Sweden.The main idea of the series was filmed in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. Cameras followed around cast members as they spent the summer working and living together at the beach. The reality show spread like a wildfire among viewers and got signed for a second season, which is aired and takes place in Miami, Florida. Although the show has lost touch with its Jersey roots by relocating, the characters follow the same routine of working together in an ice cream shop followed by drinking for hours upon hours. Now that the cast is famous from the previous season, the new episodes had to get crazier than ever before because the cast needs to keep the drama coming in order to maintain the attention and fame. The relationship between characters Sammi and Ronnie has added a new source of drama to the show, creating tension even between the girls in the house. But no matter how wild things get on the Jersey Shore, some teens still put the characters on a pedestal and see them as role models. After a sucessfull season in Miami they went to Italy where they pretty much had the same antics as the last 2 seasons. Than after wrapping Miami they came back to their old roots in New Jersey where they will end their wild and crazy run this year.
