The XFactor” is essentially “American Idol” with a wider participant base and judges who promise to be, aggregately and individually, better than most (though not this last) seasons of “American Idol.” Not only has Paula Abdul taken whatever steps were necessary to appear fit and consistently sensible, the addition of music producer L.A. Reid brings a discerning ear and gravitas to the table that balances Cowell much more evenly than Randy Jackson ever did. There isn’t enough space to write about how awesome Demi Lovato is.Not only has she been great all on her own, but Demi has helped Simon shine as well. Their relationship continues to be fun, as noticed when he ragged on her for catching pneumonia and she followed it up with “Simon’s just gross.” Unlike his forced catty behavior with Paula all of those years, this dynamic seems very genuine, and it continues to be fun to watch. Fox’s other reality singing competition, The X Factor, made its second season premiere Wednesday (Sep. 12) with new judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato joining  fellow judges Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid.We won’t really know much about Britney Spears’ personality as a new judge on The X Factor until the live shows start. But fans of the pop princess sure loved what they saw and heard on Wednesday’s X Factor premiere.

Entertainment Weekly loved Brit as much as we did. “What I like about Britney on this show, besides everything, is her succinctness. She’s brutally honest, never rambles, and — if we’re to believe the carefully edited clip series of some of her best letdowns — often just says ‘No.’ one, two, or three times to get her point across.”Lovato is actually the biggest find. She’s likable and accessible without being bitchy, and she instantly creates a playful banter with Cowel.

The contestants included a broad spectrum of talent and time was spent on some truly worthy folks. The X Factor clearly has outdone IDOL with this first show, and the judging table is much better than what IDOL. We just hope it stays that way for the rest of the season.

Auditions for the new play “Legally Blonde” the Musical are being held and about 14 Denver talent are up for the roles as well. The show is set to be on this summer and auditions will be this week. Compensation for the talent is determined with how well the auditions go and the acting/performance skills are. (more…)

The artist Raj and his entourage requested to audition with 22 Houston talent recenetly. The auditions for for his new music video for the song “Hot N’ Ready”. The music video is based around the idea of these women waiting for Raj impatiently as he tries to keep them all entertained. Raj has a pleasant surprise for them as the music video draws to an end. The national carrier US Cellular is auditioning with 8 Dallas talent for a Spec Commercial. They are concentrating on producing different and new ways of marketing their products and services. Hopefully the spec is picked up by US Cellular in the near future.

A client for a lifestyle photo shoot requested 30 of our Denver talent for a casting call. The shoot will include upscale lingerie, fur, and jewelry fashion show at an exclusive club called “Cherry” in Cherry Creek North, CO. Clothing for the event will be provided by Le Soutien, Custom Furs from A. Gnat Jewelers will provide Tsagas and fine jewelry. (more…)
